Cassius News

Who ate all the pies, who ate all the pies, you fat cat, you fat cat, you ate all the pies

Cassius has had a  ‘thyroid’ problem, ever since I looked after him for 10 days. I managed to double his size. My kitten weighs 1.9 kg, Cassius weighs 6.9 kg. I would not like to introduce my little kitten to Cassius. I think he would be scared, even though secretly Cassius is a big softie.

For Sale- Bikes

We have put some more bicycles up for Sale on the website

Alan Super Record 1

The full specs. aren’t up there, so best thing to do if any thing is tickling your fancy is send an email to rob@sargentandco.com and arrange a viewing and a test ride…

It’s mayhem

I was just about to sink my teeth into a mature cheddar cheese and salad sandwich when a young man came flouncing though the door clutching a pile of papers.

‘I arrive’ he said. And then he turned and pointed to his massive van outside.

We were expecting a small box of parts from a supplier, so this all seemed a bit over the top, giant vans, flustered drivers, racks of paperwork.. He passed me the paperwork and it dawned on me the huge, massive, we have not prepared for, delivery from Italy, had rocked up- 3 days early.

In anticipation of the already full shop getting a giant van full worth of stock, Rob built a new frame rack.

The new handcrafted rack

It currently holds 6 frames. Once it is painted the actual rack itself will ‘disappear’ into the wall and the frames will look like they are suspended in the air. The finished rack will hold 12 frames. As it only holds 6 at the moment Rob is temporarily named ‘Half Job’.

Anyway back to the delivery. We had a problem. Rob pedalled to the bank to go and get the drivers money. Meanwhile I made coffee and small talk. Turned out the driver used to ride for the Polish National Team, and he now lived just North West of Berwick-upon-Tweed. He has been in the England for 7 years and he had a 2 week holiday in Croatia last August followed by 3 days in Venice. Rob arrived with some money and we unloaded the van.

Boxes on boxes

Bikes and lots of 'em

We have since unpacked a further 25 frames.

Full to the brim

Luckily we had 6 floor tiles standing empty. This meant we could go back to eating our sandwiches in relaxation- stood up, with 3 floor tiles each.

Needless to say Rob has spent the last 2 hours drooling over groupsets and tubing.

All the frames and bikes will be shot over the next week ready to be sold.

If you need some Italian beauty in your life, keep your eyes on the blog and website.

If I was allowed 4 people dead or alive…

To come around for dinner….this guy would be sat at the head of the table, and I probably would never let him leave (it’s worth the click, he is funkin great)
