Three nice bikes

Moser, Olmo, Cinelli

Three nice bikes, three nice bikes,

See how they ride, see how they ride,

They all rode after the farmers wife,

Who cut their tyres with a kitchen knife,

Did you ever see such a thing in your life

As three nice bikes?

Cassius Bike Defender of the Universe

Rob got himself a(nother) bike…It’s a very elegant. Cassius seems to have taken a bit of a shine too it.

One eye on the bike, one eye on you and one in the back of his head

Wherever the bike goes, Cassius goes.

Don't be fooled underlings, I am not asleep

No one has tried to touch the bike yet. My advice is don’t. He is a 7.4 kg powerhouse, and he doesn’t work alone.

Policing bicycles for the better good

‘Sargent and Co – A retro wonderland

Some of you may already know about know about this wonderful little shop right in the heart of Finsbury Park. If not, it’s well worth a visit even if it’s only to stare and wonder at a world of toeclips and straps, exposed brake cables, downtube shifters and frames built by craftsmen from a material called steel.

Rob, the owner, sources many of his bits from trips to Italy where he raids the backrooms of dusty shops for their new old stock. He’d be equally glad to hear from any of you next time you clear out your odds and ends.

Vince – you’re never going to ride all those wooden rims that are cluttering up your cellar. Put them to a good home and buy some new tights with the proceeds.

And if any of you want to roll back the years and treat yourself to that special machine, lugged, sign -written and with just a handful of gears, go and speak to them.’

Nice review in the Finsbury Park Cycling Club Newsletter. Ta very muchly.
